Marine construction: A safety turnaround

THE SITUATION
A marine construction contractor on one of the world's largest oil and gas project faced critical safety performance issues, including two fatalities and twelve serious injuries within a year. Their contract was at risk due to deteriorating safety in an environment of heavy energized equipment operating over water with a complex, multinational workforce.
ANTHONY'S ADVISORY ROLE
Anthony led the diagnostic and strategic response, designing and implementing a comprehensive intervention. This included real-time risk scenario exercises to enhance collaboration and front-line leadership engagement, redesigned induction and onboarding with a focus on cross-cultural understanding, and coaching the senior leadership team on critical risk ownership. A competitive team-based risk perception exercise further reinforced the new safety culture.

THE SITUATION
An Australian consumer healthcare operation faced a compounding crisis. Logistics failures coincided with the outsourcing of manufacturing — including a factory closure — creating serious internal disruption at precisely the moment the business needed to be outward-facing. Client dissatisfaction was rising, market share was being lost to key competitors, and jobs were at risk. The pressure on the leadership team was acute.
ANTHONY'S ADVISORY ROLE
Anthony coached the Australasia board directly, ran senior executive sessions on change management, and completely re-conceived the end-to-end sales process. He identified that the existing process was unfit for the changed operational reality and that no motivational intervention would compensate for a broken system. The redesign addressed both internal mechanics and client-facing experience, rebuilding trust with customers while restoring confidence inside the sales organisation.

THE SITUATION
A newly amalgamated state electricity provider required rapid mobilisation of a large, geographically dispersed workforce. The newly formed leadership cohort was inexperienced in complex, high-risk project environments and technology integration. The result: poor risk based decision making, high leadership churn, a dysfunctional culture and failed technology implementation.
ANTHONY'S ADVISORY ROLE
Anthony designed and led a layered leadership development programme spanning senior executives to operational site supervisors — over 2,000 people. He delivered senior executive coaching directly and trained internal risk and ambassadors to embed the change programme sustainably. The fundamental shift: from a process-driven approach to risk toward a mindset and behaviour-based approach where people own outcomes and use technology as an enabler.
